Sr. Ad Operations Manager
Job Description:
About the Role
100% remote; can be based anywhere in the U.S.
We are seeking a Senior Ad Operations Manager to own the technical and operational infrastructure behind our paid media ecosystem. This role will ensure our advertising operations are reliable, organized, scalable, and built to support continuous campaign execution.
You will partner closely with our Creative Director, Performance Marketing Manager, and media buying team, taking ownership of the technical infrastructure and operational processes that keep campaigns launching efficiently. This allows our creative and performance teams to stay focused on developing winning creative, optimizing performance, and scaling campaigns.
This is not a creative production role. You will not be responsible for designing or developing ads. Instead, you will own campaign setup, creative uploads, tracking, account infrastructure, and the operational systems that support our paid media efforts.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the company's Meta advertising infrastructure, including Business Managers, ad accounts, pages, domains, pixels, datasets, events, Conversions API (CAPI), and user permissions.
- Maintain a clean, scalable account structure across multiple advertising accounts, including campaign naming conventions, asset organization, and documentation standards.
- Set up and launch campaigns and upload creative assets across multiple accounts in coordination with the performance marketing and creative teams.
- Own tracking integrity and technical implementation, ensuring pixels, events, datasets, CAPI integrations, and other measurement systems are configured correctly and consistently.
- Monitor account health and proactively identify and resolve technical, access, tracking, or organizational issues before they disrupt campaign launches or performance.
- Build operational resilience across the advertising ecosystem by maintaining clear documentation, managing user access and permissions, ensuring backup account readiness, and establishing processes that minimize campaign downtime.
- Ensure the paid media team has sufficient, reliable advertising infrastructure to continuously launch, test, and scale campaigns.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, dashboards, spreadsheets, QA processes, and internal workflows.
- Support CPL optimization through accurate campaign execution, reliable tracking, strong QA, and operational excellence.
- Partner with media buyers and the creative team to coordinate campaign launches and ensure new campaigns and creative tests go live accurately and on schedule.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to campaign setup, tracking, account access, permissions, pixels, events, and other advertising infrastructure.
- Support Google Ads operations as needed, with the opportunity to take greater ownership of the platform over time.
Ideal Background
- 5+ years of experience in Meta advertising operations, paid media operations, or a closely related role.
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Meta Business Manager and Meta's advertising infrastructure.
- Experience managing multiple Business Managers, ad accounts, pixels, datasets, events, domains, and permissions simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of conversion tracking, Meta Pixel, CAPI, event configuration, and data integrity.
- Experience working in a performance marketing agency, affiliate marketing company, lead generation business, or large-scale e-commerce advertising environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain scalable processes, documentation, naming conventions, QA standards, and account structures.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven, with the ability to proactively identify operational risks.
- Comfortable managing complex advertising infrastructure across multiple accounts and campaigns.
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills.
- Experience with Google Ads is preferred.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $110,000–$140,000
- Bonus: Performance-based bonus tied to operational KPIs and overall company performance
